A loyal Kapamilya (ABS-CBN talent) since 1998, Filipina thespian Jodi Sta. Maria has been active in show business even after her pregnancy to son Panfilo Lacson III, gossips on her estranged marriage to Pampi (Panfilo Lacson Jr.), and her word war against Iwa Moto (who has been rumored to cause the breakup of their marriage).
In above photos, she sports a new look with a short haircut (also with Richard Yap, her co-star in "Be Careful with My Heart".
Jodi, born on June 16, 1982, is a member of the Star Magic Batch 7. As a young and newly discovered star, she was featured in teen TV series such as Gimik and Tabing Ilog.
But it was her role in the soap opera "Pangako sa Iyo" opposite Patrick Garcia that solidified her star status as she was cast in the hit primetime series "Darating ang Umaga" in 2003 to 2004.
In 2005, our featured Filipina thespian played the role of Veronica Saavedra in Kampanerang Kuba but was forced to leave the show due to her pregnancy. Her character was replaced by equally stunning Desiree del Valle.
Motherhood did not stop her career. She is a "Panatag Mom", a product endorser of a milk product. Jodi Sta. Maria now plays Maya Dela Rosa in ABS-CBN's noontime show "Be Careful with My Heart" (with Richard Yap, in below photo).
As to her personal life, she has studied Medical Biology at the De la Salle University in Dasmarinas Cavite. Contrary to my previous post, I was informed of the wrong information by an Anonymous reader. She is NOT a niece (and has to relation) to TV5 legal counsel Attorney Mel Sta. Maria.
