And so, we are reviving posts in this blog by featuring a very controversial figure as of late. Here is Gwyneth Chua a.k.a. "Poblacion Girl".
She has been getting some flak for dodging quarantine protocols after arriving from the United States, and later tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19.
As of this writing, the CIDG will be filing cases against nine (9) persons including her parents and several personnel of the Berjaya Makati Hotel.
Gywneth breached her quarantine and partied in two restaurants in the Poblacion district of Makati in December 23. Her RT-PCR test results came in on December 26, where she tested positive. Several of her companions also tested positives.
Now, Ms. Chua not only faces charges but is a target of parodies and satire on social media, earning her the monicker of "Poblacion Girl".
If you are wondering on how Gywneth Chua looks like, here she is in various photos. Some people were looking for her instagram account, so much so that said keyword became viral. She is quite a stunner (see photos below).
But it is not only her looks that triggered the attention of the public but the grim reminders of quarantine violators who escaped punishment from the law due to their privileged positions, such as Sen. Koko Pimentel, police general Debold "Mananita" Sinas, and former palace spokesperson Harry Roque.
We await the resolution of this case. Stay safe everyone! The Omicron variant may be upon us. The cold weather is not helping. The recent holiday get-togethers may have contributed to the spike in new cases. And worse, over-the-counter medicine for colds and flu were reported to be lacking in various drugstores.
