Comeback Girl Maui Anne Taylor | Photos | Video

She may have scorched the screens during the early 2000s as a Viva Hot Babe and an actress in sexy films. But after two decades, she has made a comeback in the era of social media.

Lo and behold! She has not changed a bit. Talk about having really really good genes (and of course, she handled the ups and downs of celebrity life quite well). See photo below.

Maui Taylor was born Maureen Anne Tupaz Fainsan on June 28, 1983. She was first cast in the 1997 to 1997 in TV shows TGIS and in Anna Karenina (from 1997 to 2002). Her first big break came in 1998 to 2003 as a main cast in "Kool Ka Lang".

Her movie roles in Tatarin (2001) and S2pid Luv had her take on mature sexy roles. It was during this phase that she appeared on the cover of FHM magazine. A photo of her younger self (dare to compare!).

It has been almost two decades before she made a comeback and appeared again in public. She resurfaced on social media with her Youtube channel, which to date, already has 170k followers (see below video, Lie Detector Challenge with Yow on the MAUI ANNE TAYLOR YT channel). Her FB page has 760k followers.

Photos of Maui on FB has been garnering likes (such as the Pure Hot Pinays FB page). She has indeed become prettier with age (plus she has shown substance and maturity, which makes her more enticing to watch). (see below)

Her latest movie is "Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging P0rnstar", a comedy drama film that was premiered on January 2021 through Vivamax.  Here’s the trailer:

The Boazanian Zandra in Voltes V Legacy - Leizel Lopez

I would admit it. When I was young, I had a crush on the Zandra, who was the personal aide of Prince Zardoz, commander-in-chief of the Boazanian Invasion Forces, and robotics adviser of the beast fighters sent to Earth to destroy Voltes V. 

In the Japanese anime saga (SPOILER ALERT), she is in love with the Boazanian prince although it was unrequited. Until she sacrificed her life for the one she loved, and it was only then that Zardoz realized that he also cared for her. Such Shakespearean or Greek tragedy for a young mind! Not to mention the tragedy for the Armstrongs (but that is another story!). 

Anyway, in the adaptation by GMA-7 dubbed Voltes V Legacy, the young actress who would play Zandra would be Leizel Lopez. Here is her photo from Instagram (credit: GMA-7 digital).  Try to compare her with the graphic from Toei Art (she looks the part, right?).

Who is this young actress portraying the feisty Boazanian commander? 

She was born Liezel Marie Arintoc Lopez in Olongapo, Zambales, where she was a theater actress and model who joined the reality contest Starstruck6 not ease her family's financial woes and also to pursue her dreams in becoming an actress. Her acting prowess made her land in the Final 14. She was signed up by the GMA artist center after being eliminated in the said contest. 

Since 2016, she has be starring in different television series and shows.

Young actress Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson in Voltes-V Legacy | Photos

The press is out! Young actress Ysabel Ortega would be playing the coveted role of Jamie Robinson in the real-life adaptation of the Japanese anime television series  Chōdenji Machine Voltes V. 

The series has drawn much attention from the public since Voltes V enjoyed a cult-following in the Philippines in the 1970s, only to be banned by the Marcos dictatorship in 1979 due to alleged "excessive violence". 

This blogger is part of the generation that followed the series in my younger years so I am quite critical of how GMA-7 will do its adaptation though it was also reported that the script has been approved by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise (good thing!). I hate teledramas.

And so (back to our topic), Ysabel Ortega would be playing the role of Jamie Robinson in the GMA-7's Voltes V Legacy series. It was reported that she got the part in an audition where the scene had her plead to Steve Armstrong to leave a mission due to her father's (Doctor Robinson) ailing condition.

Who is this actress who will play Jamie? She was born Maria Ysabel Ortega Lapid on January 25, 1999, to parents Senator Lito Lapid (I am not a fan!) and Michelle Ortega. 

Her first major role was as a villain in Born For You, where her acting made viewers hate her (which is quite an achievement for playing a villain role, especially at her young age). She has been in show business since 2014.

It has been a while since we posted in this blog. Most of the internet traffic and what-have-yous could be viewed on social media (particularly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). But in the past few years, this blogger has been following a page, which features pretty Filipina women. I would recommend for you to follow said site. 

I am talking about the PURE HOT PINAYS Facebook page. It has changed administrators through the years and has gained a lot of followers through the years. As of this writing, it now has 456,000 followers (yeah, almost half a million!). 

Much of its posts come from models and brand ambassadors. The mainstays are the following Angelique aka Cheska Ayad, Jelly Kwong, Kinsky Glavin, Aiz Skat, Irish Tan, Grace Vargas, Apol Salangad, Kate Lim, Chloe Recto, and Jackie So, among others. 

I am particularly a fan of Cheska Ayad, she knows how to strike a pose to stir up your wild imaginings. If time permits, I would post a thing or two about them in the coming weeks. 

Most of those featured on the FB page PURE HOT PINAYS are also models of alua (dot) com, where you could chat with them, gift them a gift or two, and they would give freebies of unreleased videos and photos. I could only imagine what they give out (not willing to shell out hard-earned cash for such fetish).
