She hails from Quezon City, Philippines. Miss Carmen Betia has monopolized various contests in her school - Asian Institute of Science and Technology (AISAT). She has snagged being "Best model of the year", Miss AISAT 2008-2009, Miss Body Beautiful in 2009, and Miss Maligaya (that means happiness!) in 2008.
