As of this writing, Filipina singer-actress Sarah Geronimo is drawing some flak for her role as judge in the reality TV contest “The Voice of the Philippines” (which aired its second episode a couple of nights ago). But that won’t stop this blog from featuring her. After all, she is still a really talented, successful and pretty Filipina.

I think she needs to find her voice as a vocal coach. She has been through so much – from singing in local amateur contests to performing a solo concert before a jam-packed crowd at the world-famous Araneta Coliseum.

Sarah knows “what” to say to singers, for them to become better. She just has to learn “how” to say it. Miss Geronimo is probably having the jitters, especially since she has, as co-judges, Filipinos who have made their mark in the global music scene (in particular Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas and Tony Award for Broadway award winner Lea Salonga). Also this role puts here in the same spotlight as Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Usher and Shakira (who are featured as judges in the original “The Voice” contest).

Who is Sarah Geronimo? Born on July 25, 1998 in Sampaloc, Manila, she is a Filipina actress, recording artist, dancer, host and model (who has preserved her wholesome, sweet and clean image).

Under Viva and Star records, she released various platinum albums. Among them are: Popstar: A Dream Come True (2003), Sweet Sixteen (2004), Becoming (2006), Taking Flight (2007), Just Me (2008), Your Christmas Girl (2009), Music And Me (2009), One Heart (2011), and Pure OPM Classics (2012).

Since 1995, she has a regular fixture in several television shows and movies. So to her haters, cut her some slack please!
