Enigmatic Filipina beauty Maricar Reyes | Photos

Filipina actress and model Maricar Concepcion Pozon Reyes was born in 1984 in Cagayan de Oro City (in Mindanao, southern Philippines). Like a Phoenix, she rose from the ashes, maintaining a respectable persona despite her involvement in one of the most embarrassing video sex scandals (with Hayden Kho) to hit the Philippine movie industry. Her silence about it only helped to add a mystique to her perceived personality.

She is also an image model, starring in various television and print advertisements in the Philippines and in the Southeast Asian region. She has endorsed global brands such as Coca-Cola, Globe Telecom, Sunsilk, Pond's Whitening, Modess, Nescafe, KFC, Pantene Pro-V Conditioner.

But here's the catch. This Pinay beauty has lots of brains! A daughter of Emilio and Ceferina Reyes, Maricar is a doctor. She passed the medical board exams in 2008, after graduating at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She finished her pre-med bachelor's degree of Biology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Her acting skills get more refined through the years. She is now part of the roster of ABS-CBN's primetime soap actresses, who are not only hitting hard on the ratings war but are also getting rave reviews from movie critics and pundits alike.

Maricar would prove to be one of the local movie industry's talented character actresses. Presently, she stars in the soap opera "Dahil Sa Pag-ibig" (Because of Love) with hottie Christine Reyes and Jericho Rosales. Flawless and Lovable Filipina Iza Calzado | Photos

The flawless Filipina actress and celebrity endorser Iza was born as Maria Izador Ussher Calzado on August 12, 1982. A former GMA-7 talent, she has switched camps in January 2012 by signing a three year contract with ABS-CBN.  Her "defection" is the latest atrocity in the war of the networks: Kapuso versus Kapamilya, with the latter on a renewed offensive.

In her new stable, she is expected to host the second season of "The Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition". I personally believe that she is fit for this role because Miss Calzado was previously fat and obese before she took it too herself to regularly exercise and to go on a diet, which is why this lovable Pinay is sensually slim and lean! Hence, she landed in FHM Philippines in the years 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.


She is also the endorser of Flawless Slimming Clinic (here's the image used in her billboard along EDSA - Manila's busiest thoroughfare).

Iza started her showbiz career with GMA-7 as guest in the teen show Click, which gained the attention of the public and by television producers. She then starred in "Kung Mawawala ka", "Te Amo: Maging Sino Ka Man", "Encantadia", "Batanes: Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan".

The flawless and lovable Filipina actress was then cast in "The Echo", the English-language remake of Filipino director Yam Laranas’ horror film Sigaw. The film got rave reviews with international movie critics. Young and aspiring Pinay actresses should learn from this example of how to be an actress in Hollywood.

Miss Calzado finished high school from Miriam College. She is a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
